For years I heard about the possibility of "doomsday" which is prophesied to occur next year on December 21, 2012. I didn't pay much attention to it till recently but discussing this with others was out of the question. I didn't want people thinking I have a screw loose lol.

 

In recent years I have considered that the end of the world theory might actually be a reality. There have been numerous natural disasters such as, massive earthquakes as the one that just happened in Japan. Also there have been more droughts, hurricanes, floods, volcanic eruptions and tsunamis that have prompted me to consider an apocalypse is not only possible but may be probable.

end-of-the-worldI did some research online and found some interesting facts. For example: the Mayan calendar marked Earth's final day as 12/21/2012. The Hopi Indians talk about a great purification of Earth. Nostradamus predicted a devastating Asteroid. The bible foretells of the coming Apocalypse. Even NASA confirmed intense solar storms.

I guess we'll all find out soon enough. I'm hoping that the only thing 2012 brings is a new beginning. Maybe we'll all move to a higher consciousness and learn to live united as one. Either way if we do survive we will hopefully experience a renewed enlightenment or we'll witness THE END.

I believe this world will indeed pass away I'm not so much concerned with when it will or how it will but what should be the question is When it does where will you spend eternity? Yes, with such natural disasters occurring more and more and not to mention the wars and the evil that continues to take its toll on this earth it is something to ponder.

I am secure in knowing that I will spend eternity with God and I am prepared to see Jesus face to face. I strongly believe in the rapture and I believe in a loving God who will spare us from the wrath to come. Please ask Jesus to be your savior and have your name written in the lambs book of life to secure your place in heaven. Our current events correlates with the prophecies in the Bible -For "Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved." Romans 10:13


If you haven't made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life say this prayer and begin to have confidence and be set free from fear.

Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. But I believe that you died upon the cross for me and that you shed your precious blood for the forgiveness of my sin. And I believe that on the third day, you rose from the dead, and went to Heaven to prepare a place for me. I accept you now as my Savior, my Lord, my God,my friend. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and set me free from my sin. And, because you are my Savior, Jesus,"I shall not die, but have everlasting life".Thank you Jesus!

I honestly don't believe that the world will end 12/21/12. Even in the bible it says that you won't know the world is coming to an end until you hear trumpets sounding, or something like that. (I don't read the bible) But all in all, no one will know for sure when the world will end. We may all be dead by that time. So just relax and live life to the fullest, as if it will end tomorrow. Because really no one is given tomorrow.

The Myans didn't claim it was the end of the world. They have a calender called the longcount and it lasts 144,000 days and rounds off to 394 solar years. The end of the long count is not the end of the world, they celebrated it. It was considered a good thing to make it to the end of it.

The bible is religion and is not something that you can base cold facts on. Religion is based on faith so the bible is highly disregarded when it comes to factual discusions of 2012.

Solar flares have a spike every 11 years (give or take) and we are due for one.

Some people claim Planet nibiru is going to crash into the earth, it hasn't even entered near the earth. Or that it's going to enter and throw everything off, and switch the poles. If it gets sucked into a strong enough gravitational pull it will become part of our chain of planets.

Our poles however are switching at about 40 miles per year, which is also scientifically explained. Every so many thousand years our poles switch, we are way overdue for one. It will cause some issues but nothing that people can't get through.

As for the earthquakes and what not, Japan is on a fault line. When the earth's crust shifts, bends, or breaks it causes shaking. These are all natural occurances, hence "Natural Disaster".

A lot of people think 2012 to be a time that will either bring great sorrow or great happiness, I guess that is all up to us. I have been noticing people getting more concerned for others well being. Even on yahoo, I haven't seen to many nasty comments regarding the Japanese, most of it is filled with concerns and prayers. Perhaps people are evolving and we can get rid of corruption and the good souls left can join together to make it a wonderful place for everyone!

Also 2012 hype is a good way for people who use scare tactics to make money. Just try not to freak out ;) It's probably just going to be another year like all the others.
